Popular Weight Loss TV Shows

Losing massive amounts of weight has become a fast-growing trend in the United States. With one of the highest levels of obesity in the world, it is no wonder that Americans are obsessed with losing weight. One of the ways this obsession manifests itself is through weight loss TV shows. These shows can give hope to those who think weight loss is hopeless and can provide some entertainment along the way.

The Biggest Loser

One of the most well-known weight loss television shows is The Biggest Loser. Despite the negative connotations with being a "loser", the name of the show is a play on the fact that the person who loses the most weight wins. Throughout the course of a season, individuals battle to use diet and exercise to lose as much weight as possible. Every week, individuals are eliminated with a final winner crowned at the end of the season. This show does a great job of showcasing the troubles individuals encounter along the way to weight loss.

Extreme Weight Loss

Some individuals must find ways to safely lose a significant amount of weight to ensure they can maintain a healthy lifestyle. This documentary follows eight obese individuals who need to safely lose weight for their own health and wellbeing. Host Chris Powell works with each of the individuals to create a diet and exercise plan that helps them lose weight without depriving their body of the nutrition and activity it needs to be healthy. Each episode follows one individual's journey over the course of the year as they attempt to shed about half of their weight.

Heavy

A&E created the television show called Heavy. The show explores a different side of obesity and weight loss. Like some of A&Es other reality television shows, Heavy looks at the psychology of being obese and how difficult it can be to shed the pounds, even when it is absolutely necessary for health reasons. The show focuses on helping participants learn how to make changes to their lifestyles that will allow them to lose weight gradually over time. It also deals with the struggles participants encounter along the way. You can click here for upcoming schedules of A&E programming.

I Used to Be Fat

Even MTV has jumped on the bandwagon with weight loss shows. This show features individuals who have asked for help and are assigned a trainer who will help them through the difficult process of losing weight. In the early stages, most of the participants are unhappy with the extra work losing weight requires. However, most of the individuals end up with amazing results at the end of their 100 days with the trainer.

Losing weight is often a difficult struggle. Whether you need to lose weight and are looking for motivation or you are interested in reality-style television shows, there are several options that deal with the issues of weight loss. Each of these shows takes a different approach to this difficult time in an individual's life, but they all show viewers what it is like to go through the process and what types of results they can see with some hard work. Losing weight is hard work, but it is well worth it in the end when individuals can live a healthier lifestyle.

In my book "The Muscle Experiment" I talk about how I was able to put on a solid 39lbs of solid muscle in less than 6 months with bodyweight training, and exactly how YOU can do it as well. In case you haven't downloaded The Muscle Experiment, I suggest you download it immediately and start implementing the little known techniques. This alone should put you on the road to massive size and strength.

To your success,
